Sydney City Race

Sunday 13th October 2024

  • This is not a mass start event 

  • Individual/team start times will be pre-allocated at 30s-1min intervals, from 8:00am until 10:30am

  • 5 distances available:

    • The Premier/Long race is 15km, with an estimated winning time of 60 minutes. There's a $1,000 men's and women's first place prize, and competitors will visit a site unlike any other in the world!

    • There will also be 10km, 6km and 3km distances and an "all checkpoints" race with a 60 minute time limit

  • Entries in the Premier race will be strictly limited

  • The top 10 seeded men and women will start last in the Premier race

  • Organised by Bennelong Northside on behalf of ONSW

  • Entries will open in June 2024

Area embargoes

The areas listed below are being used for the 2024 Sydney City Race and are embargoed until the start of the race on Sunday 13th October 2024. This means no reconnoitring of, or orienteering in these areas.

North from Liverpool Street through to the harbour and the Sydney Botanical Gardens. This includes Hyde Park, the CBD, Barangaroo, Millers Point, Dawes Point, The Rocks, Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House.
